Saquan Stimpson, Photographer originally from the Bronx, now Currently residing in Newark Delaware. While attending The High School Of Art and Design, I made up my mind to become an artist of some type - due to my knowing two teachers, who greatly influenced my decision - Ira Merit and Roy Biles. The funny thing is, I wasn't officially in Mr. Biles class, however I would stop in from time to time, so thank you for not kicking me out.

After graduating from college in 2001, I bought a Nikon Cool Pix 5000 Digital Camera, and started taking photos for fun, until a friend from Pennsylvania suggested that I take it more seriously. So a few years later, I got my hands on Mamiya 7II, which was used mainly use for Black and white shooting. I love what I do; I have images in my head that the people need to see.

Concerning Photography: I don't really like to interpret my style - I'd rather let the person interpret my work for themselves; however if I had to interpret my own style, I would say that my style is an Photo journalistic style. I shoot 95% of my shots using natural lighting and rarely do I use makeup. I'm not into creating fantasies - the world isn't a fantasy. The way you see it is the way that I "eye" saw it. Most of all my work you see in my portfolio is shot with a Canon EOS 20D.

My Photography is about respect. Respect for the craft, respect for history, respect for the integrity of your images. I don't like to follow fads, using the same gear and techniques as everyone else. The method is about crafting images that are as ageless as your bond, images that hold their power and emotion long after trends have come and gone.

My gear consist of a Canon EOS 40D, Canon EOS 20D and a back-up Canon EOS 10D, as for Lens i'm working with a Canon 50MM F/2.8, Canon 18-55MM F/3.5, Sigma 500MM F/4, Sigma 70- 210MM F/2.8 Tamron 19-35MM F/3.5 Wide Angle, Tamron 75-300-MM F/2.8 and 35-105MM F/3.5 Macro lens Mac PowerBook G4.
