As most have now read, Laurie David - producer of An Inconvenient Truth - authored an editorial appearing in the Washington Post stating that the National Science Teachers Association refused to accept 50,000 free copies of the movie. In response, the NSTA has issued a press release.

Ok but did anyone actually watch this brilliant piece of propaganda from the Petroleum Institute? This story is really fascinating. I came across this story on NowPublic but also through a mailing list called Velolove, which is a Vancouver based list devoted to self-propelled people. Gary Mangel there had sent out some links and one was to classroom-energy.org, and the link to the film, actually named in the press release from the National Science Teachers Association who said their classrooms aren't all full of propaganda. I think that is what they were saying. Exhibit A - think of all the films you saw in science class. Exhibit B = look at this film!
