After following the inauguration of Texas Governor Rick Perry, which was held in-doors due to the ice storm in Austin, I was surprised at the rhetoric coming from the Republicans camp.

And then I found this story today. It seems the governor knows a thing or two about irony.

Because nothing follows up tolerance talk more than the President of the NRA, clad in the confederate flag, armed on stage, shouting derogatory remarks about non-English speakers, and then tearing it up on guitar.

Check out some Ted Nugent quotes...

Would you invite this guy to speak at your inauguration?  Well, would you if you were speaking about tolerance?  I know you would if you were holding a barbecue for the clan, that I would understand.

Rocking the house as the night's final act was singer Ted Nugent, a friend of Perry's known as the "Motor City Madman." Nugent appeared onstage wearing a cut-off T-shirt emblazoned with the sure-to-draw-headlines Confederate flag and shouting some unflattering remarks about non-English speakers, according to people who were in attendance. His props were machine guns.
