SENIOR executives at Daventry District Council have come under fire after running up a £1,300 bill for an overnight stay at a hotel only six miles from their offices.
''The days are gone, when council perks allow spending for personal enjoyment. They forget who pays their wages very often. Lets not forget to treat council money as if it were your customers money, the Council Tax payers, and not your own, to spend it on personal luxuries or waste it on unnecessary purchases should be a criminal offence, it's dishonest''. liamssoft
