Have you been looking for some video game footage or the trailer for a new movie and then suddenly found yourself staring at a youtube video of Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley?

You sir (or madam) have been Rick Rolled. 

A number of blogs have been chronicling this as the latest trend in strange internet pranks. You can read blog posts about Rick Rolling here, here and here.

Yougotrickrolled.com has been active for the past several months.

"Recently the song has become the basis for an internet phenomenon known as "Rickrolling", where a YouTube link to the video is disguised as a link to something else, usually hinted at as very exciting.[1]
As a result, the video has received over 1.3 million hits as of early
August 2007. The video has also spawned several popular copy-cat videos."

Currently, experts are unsure as to whether the term "Rick Rolled" refers to being "rolled" as in jumped for your valuables, except by Rick Astley.
