Stark apologizes?

Damn!

Well, I hope the Coward in Chief can stop sobbing now that he has an apology.

His army of sycophants can now delight in their victory.

Yes, it was a victory to them.

All the fuss they managed to make obscured the fact that they turned their backs on health care for America's neediest children, children they attacked and lied about as they tried to deny them health care.

Yes, it's a fine day for the compassionate conservatives and the party of Craig and Foley.

Tearful Democrat apologizes for offending Bush, troops in Iraq

 

Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif., cried as he apologized today for a controversial speech in which he said Americans were getting their heads blown off in Iraq for the president's amusement.

“I want to apologize to my colleagues — many of whom I have offended — to the president and his family and to the troops,” Stark said on the House floor, according to The Hill.

"I hope that with this apology, I return to being as insignificant as I should be," he said, according to MSNBC.

A proposal that would have censured Stark for his earlier comments failed today when the House took it up on the floor.

With all the support he had out there, the dems force him to cave. A CNN online poll last Friday had 88% of those voting supporting Stark.

So, what did he say?

"You don't have money to fund the war or children. But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people, if we could get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their head's blow off for the president's amusement."

It is no worse than anything the Republifascists have cooked up. However, they climb on their high horses and start crying crocodile tears in feigned hurt and anger.

Stark first held his ground, calling those ranting and raving house members "chickenhawks". Why did he stop standing his ground? Perhaps because Madame Speaker yanked it out from under him.

The only thing wrong about the remark is that it gave the whores of the Bush Administration and its failed policies a small morsel that sparked a feeding frenzy. Rather than addressing the real question that they put war and war profiteers above the needs of American children, they attack someone speaking the straight truth and expressing the feelings of most of America. Who is more dangerous to America?

It's like watching a soccer game when one player grazes an opposing team member. The grazee first shrugs it off, then a light bulb goes off and he slowly falls to the ground in apparent terrible agony. Fans and refs have caught on to this nonsense. However, those fakers who carry the ball for a failed president can still not only can carry it off, they have some Democratic Party members rushing to side with a first aid kit.

It is time the Democrats spin on their heels, look the Republifascists straight in their evil eyes and say - "Stop whining and stick to the issues!"
