Let's be real. First off, Caroline Kennedy is nothing but a name. She is not in office, has never been in office, and has had a career based on her father's death. Who cares who she endorses? I don't. What does she mean this is like the atmosphere around her father? That may not be good, but he got shot. I'm just saying. Further, she was too young to know what was going on. All she ever was in the 60s was a prop they brought out from time to time. I have nothing against the woman, but the truth be told, if she gets a platform then everyone else should get a stage too. I can't tell you how much her endorsement bugs me.

Ted, What can you say? Well, how about adulterer, liar, cheater, and the man who let a woman die while he tried to save his political career. Let's go back to the event to refresh your memory:

Date:On July 18, 1969

Kennedy drove his mother's 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88. (Even though Kennedy's chauffeur was present at the party, Kennedy claimed to have driven alone with Kopechne). A deputy sherriff would testify that he saw Kennedy's car on Dyke Road at 12:40 am, and that the driver sped off when he approached it.[5] According to Kennedy, he made a wrong turn onto an unlit dirt road that led to Dike Bridge (also spelled Dyke Bridge), a wooden bridge angled obliquely to the road with no guardrail, and drove over its side. The car plunged into tide-swept Poucha Pond (at that location a channel) and came to rest upside down underwater. Kennedy later recalled that he was able to swim free of the vehicle, but Kopechne was not. Kennedy claimed at the inquest that he called Kopechne's name several times from the shore, then tried to swim down to reach her seven or eight times, then rested on the bank for several minutes before returning on foot to the Lawrence Cottage, where the party attended by Kopechne and other "Boiler Room Girls" had occurred. According to one commentator, his route back to the cottage would have taken him past four houses from where he could have telephoned and summoned help: however he did not do so.[6]

Kopechne's parents did not allow an autopsy to be performed on their dead daughter.[14] They did not bring any legal action against Sen. Kennedy over Mary Jo's death, but received a payment of $90,904 from the Senator personally and another $50,000 from his insurance company.[14] The Kopechnes later explained their failure to take legal action by saying that "We figured that people would think we were looking for blood money".[

Kennedy escaped the accident unscathed but left his young lady friend to drown in the car's back seat. He later pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a crime but only got a slap on the hand, a two-month suspended jail sentence. Many believe he escaped justice, which is why the tragedy at Chappaquiddick has been called the most brilliant cover-up ever achieved in a nation where investigative procedures are well developed.

Two decades after the horrific event more light was shed on the cover-up when the foreman of the grand jury that investigated the accident, came forward and confessed that the panel was pressured by a judge and a prosecutor not to pursue the case. The foreman said the jury was manipulated and blocked from doing its job.

The truth is that most people believe he got away with murder and has continued to cover-up Kennedy crimes and indescretions since that time, like Michael Skakel, who killed his girlfriend with a bat, and got away with it for over 25 years.

All that to say, does Obama really want the endorsement of a family of murderers? But then again Obama has no experience and nothing but clever speeches. He knows how to talk himself into the party, but I don't think he will get the girl. I think this guy is being set up for a huge fall. Sorry, but I feel it in my bones that something is not right with this.
