Laboratory dogs suffer so our pets can lose weight

Drug manufacturers have responded to the growing tide of pet obesity by developing anti obesity drugs. Obesity is undoubtedly a problem that needs tackling, but when new drugs are developed it's not just the over weight pets that suffer - many animals are used in laboratories to test these drugs before they reach the market.
