Plato says No! - US and all governments are corrupt!
All governing systems are corrupt, about 2500 years ago the Greek philosopher Plato, warned citizens of Greece about the Greek government. Is that why our politicians love the Greek system of government.
Plato suggested that the state ought to be governed by an elite class of educated philosopher-rulers, who would be trained from birth and selected on the basis of aptitude. This could be a solution maybe.
Perhaps we could setup a citadel similar to the Chinese secret palace in each and every country. Cut these educated philosopher-rulers off from outside influence so there was no chance they could be corrupted. Supply these people with computer systems and let them govern us all. But in reality this would not be allowed to happen and it would always be a pipe dream.
But there are better and less corrupt ways to govern stopping politicians being bought before elected and restrictions on running businesses when in power. Checks on earnings whilst in power, but no politician wants that

But we should insist that our governance be perfect. I fear this will never be a reality or a near reality because of political indocrination by those in the seats of power.
