We have all heard of The Perfect Storm. Well I think Hillary is The Perfect Victim. She never knows what is happening when the scandal hits.Clinton campaign chairman Terence R. McAuliffe — said in an interview yesterday that he does not know where Hsu came from. “I don’t know how he became involved in the Clinton campaign,” McAuliffe said. “I’ve never asked the man for a check.” Hsu twice attended events sponsored by Bill Clinton’s global charitable effort, putting up $15,000 each time as an entrance fee. The donations allowed him to mingle with the corporate executives typically attracted by the former president’s charitable endeavors. Bill Clinton’s aides said they knew little about Hsu’s own businesses, he was involved somehow in the apparel business. Shortly after questions arose in late August about Hsu’s background, the Clinton Global Initiative refunded the $30,000 — more than a week before Hillary Clinton’s campaign decided to refund the $850,000 that Hsu had raised.

The Drive By Media has little stomach for this story. Hillary is their favorite for the Dem. nomination, she gets softball questions and up to five times the positive coverage of any other candidate. now the man “who is a bundler on steroids,” said veteran Republican campaign lawyer Jan W. Baran. “Just think back to the 2004 campaigns: The highest level of bundler recognition was $250,000, and that was at the end of the campaign. Here we are in September of ‘07, and this guy has apparently raised $850,000 in a matter of months. And for that same reason, he probably should have set off alarm bells.” Of course the Clintons knew who this guy was. In politics nobody gives you $ 850,000 without asking for something. What was he asking for? And for whom? China? Lets check the Clinton record on China.

An Australian-born national defense analyst says the recent successful test of a satellite-killing missile by China would probably not have happened so soon if it weren’t for technology approved for transfer to that nation by former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Greg Copley, president of the International Strategic Studies Association (ISSA), says he knows why the Communist Chinese want Satellite killing missiles. “They want to ensure that once they launch military operations against Taiwan, there will be confusion in U.S. space-based targeting systems, navigation systems, and communication systems in particular,” he states. Copley says the Chinese owe a debt of gratitude to a former American president for being able to develop their missile. “It certainly relied on guidance technology for missiles given to the PRC by President William Clinton in the 1990s,” he offers. The ISSA spokesman suggests that that presidential decision sped things up for the Chinese. “There’s no question that without the technology which President Clinton personally authorized to transfer to the PRC … the Chinese capability would have been much later in coming,” he says. But instead, Copley contends the Chinese are now certainly in the lead when it comes to satellite warfare technology.

Attempts were made by Communist China to funnel money to the Clinton campaign and influence elections in 1996. Charlie Trie, one of Bills trusted DNC fundraisers, attempted to funnel this money. When faced with indictment he fled to China for refuge. Another money funneler for the communists and Clinton campaign, Johnny Chung, is now in jail. The funds came from divisions of the Chinese army, one of which had been caught only months earlier while attempting to smuggle AK-47’s to LA street gangs. This is the government of RED CHINA - another DNC fundraiser scandal, Johnny Chung, openly admitted to knowingly taking funds from the Chinese government. Chung also testified that the DNC knew the source of this money was communist China. They accepted it anyway. The money is said to have been funneled through Chinese government official Liu Chao-ying then Chung and then to the DNC. Even more revealing was that Liu Chao-ying, daughter of Liu Hauqing (recent head of the Chinese military and top official of the Chinese communist party) and a Peoples Liberation Army and Chinese space agency official, attended a DNC fundraiser. Here she was photographed with Clinton. Chung also visited the White House over 45 times. Chung took several thousand dollars and contributed them to a partisan candidate for President of the United States and leader of the free world. Chung was only a powerful campaign contributer/supporter with ties to the DNC and White House. Johnny Chung testified under oath to Congress on his admitted relations with the Chinese and the ties to the President. Ironically Chung is one of a very small number of people who had greater White House access than Monica Lewinsky! Chung is said to have made over 50 visits compared to Monica’s 39! Even better, only a week later Charlie Trie entered a guilty plea for his fundraising crimes and agreed to talk with investigators! Who next? Well it happened to be John Huang! Huang, another Clinton cronie, pled guilty to funneling Chinese funds less than a week after Trie!

So after all that history Norman Hsu was not noticed by Hillary. What kind of POTUS would she make if all she could say is “I dont know how that happened.” and the Drive By Media? well, Tuesday night. ABC didn’t utter a word about the campaign’s decision to refund the largest amount ever, $850,000 solicited by Hsu, yet anchor Charles Gibson found time to note how the New England Patriots broke an NFL rule by videotaping New York Jets coaches giving signals, while CBS’s Katie Couric gave Hsu barely 20 seconds — about half the time she devoted to the death of “Alex the Parrot” — and NBC allocated 25 seconds, but only after a three-minute piece framed around how Rudy Giuliani’s 9/11 image “stirs angry resentment.” So far, including Tuesday night, the three broadcast network evening newscasts have each run one full story on Hsu while CBS and NBC, but not ABC, have aired two additional 20-second or so anchor-briefs. NBC Nightly News ran a full story on Thursday, August 30 (NB item) and ABC and CBS caught up the next night, Friday, August 31 (NB item). A week later, on Friday, September 7, CBS and NBC aired brief items on how Hsu was captured in Colorado after failing to appear for a bail hearing in California (NB post). And Tuesday night, not even the Clinton campaign’s maneuver of announcing their decision, to send back $850,000 collected by Hsu, at 6:40pm EDT Monday — after the start of the evening newscasts — irritated network producers enough to run a full story, nor ABC to even mention the development.

But you know Hillary is in trouble if The New York Times starts to worry. And on Wed. they started reluctantly covering the Hsu story.

The Democrats spend most of their day blasting Bush as a lair, incompetent, a criminal, but when they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar……Silence. “They had no clue.” “Who is Hsu?” “This guy just gave a little money.” “We didn’t kmow anything about him.” Buy just today Hillary slandered a 30 year General. When Army Gen. David Petraeus and U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker came before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, Clinton said that their claims of progress in Iraq require a “willing suspension of disbelief.” “Despite what I view is your rather extraordinary efforts in your testimony both yesterday and today,” said Clinton, “I think that the reports that you provide to us really require a willing suspension of disbelief.” Giuliani accused Clinton of “playing into” a MoveOn.org ad that ran in the New York Times Monday that read: “General Petraeus or General Betray Us?” “She’s trying to tell us that she knows more about the whole situation than he does,” Giuliani shot back by saying, “Doesn’t it also sound like she’s also saying that he isn’t telling the truth?”

Talk about ‘willing suspension of disbelief,’ ‘People have often said about the Clintons, they don’t care who they hang out with as long as the people can be helpful to them,’” this is one of Mrs. Clinton’s major fundraisers. “‘The larger point in all of this is that the Clintons are the ultimate pragmatists in who they hang out with; if you can be useful to them, they will find a way to make it work.’ Advisers say Mrs. Clinton is not so much furious about the scandal, as she is worried about containing the political damage.” Well, of course! Then the New York Times editorial today discusses this with the headline “Take the Money and Rue,” and they say that she’s in a “scandal.” So we’ll keep a sharp eye on the New York Times. The New York Times will provide the guidance on how to treat this story and only time will tell. you’ve heard the term “culture of corruption” floating around out there, especially as it applies to Republicans? Culture of corruption. Clinton fundraising is not the culture of corruption. It’s the definition of corruption. That’s how you have to look at Norman Hsu and all this. Al Gore get ready.
