You Can’t Stop Me!

The Holocaust-denying, Israeli-threatening, generally crazy leader of the terrorist regime of Iran has made it known that he still intends to go to Ground Zero. He wants to visit at 10 a.m. on Monday morning even if the NYPD and the Secret Service don’t want him to. If he does decide to go the Secret Service will have to provide security for him but the NYPD can refuse to help. They probably will refuse.

The reason why he wants so badly to go to Ground Zero is because it would be a propaganda coup. The argument that he just wants to show his respect to those who died, while maybe he has respect for the terrorist who hijacked the planes and died, is totally ignorant of the facts. He would love nothing more to increase the size of Ground Zero with one of his own bombs.

Ahmadinejad placing a wreath at Ground Zero would be such a coup because it would give him even more cover from “anti-war” activists on the left. They will say that he is a nice guy who means well. We just don’t understand him, probably because we are bigoted Americans who never look outside our houses much less outside our borders. They’ll point to the talk he’s going to give at Columbia as proof that he is open-minded, unlike our own president.

Tyrannical dictators have a long history of being great propagandists. The Soviet Union’s Stalin promoted the vision of a cooperative society while he killed thousands behind the scenes. Fidel Castro is given credit by many on the left for having created such an advanced health care system in Cuba; never mind the fact that there’s a separate medical sector for foreigners that is state of the art while the system the poor get to use has failed. Not to mention the fact that whenever a pregnancy runs into some trouble they abort the baby to deflate their infant mortality rates.

Ahmadinejad is no different. On the one hand he’ll support terrorist organizations’ killing of coalition and Iraqi servicemen in Iraq, he’ll also support terrorist groups that are killing Israelis. To make up for this murder he’s going to place a wreath and tell liberals at college what they want to hear. No tough questions will be asked of him by his enablers in the West.

The War on Terror is being fought smartly by our enemies in the media. They’re braining us in this arena. President Bush does a woeful job of promoting the war at home and abroad. This is why we are in such a perilous position right now. Young Muslims in the East and West see that al Qaeda portrays itself as strong and resolute; al Qaeda plays up their wins and honors their dead.

In the West we have a large faction of people who have made it their personal mission to get us out of this war. They use every tool in their subversive bag to weaken our ability to respond to threats and they work at destroying domestic will. al Qaeda was on the ropes all the way up to 2005, we had it beat. By focusing their propaganda on successes in Spain and England and on the opposition to the War on Terror in the West they have been able to repopulate their ranks.

Maybe Ahmadinejad’s brazen disregard of the wishes of New York’s finest coupled with his disregard for any possible retaliation for his funding of insurgents in Iraq and terrorists throughout the world is a dark harbinger of what is to come. BigT
