Is anyone really surprised
by this??  Readers of my Aboriginal Newsblog read about it in a blog
posting from 11.1.07 in which I reported on Microsoft admitting to the German
press that indeed Microsoft was quietly working in conjunction with the NSA (read
below) and many naysayers called me a conspiracy theorist and dismissed my
story as false.  Even though Gates and the original news agency (Die
Welt) have not refuted this,
Americans are still too wrapped up in American Exceptionalism to accept that
this nation is on a slippery slope towards a totalitarian state run entirely by
often faceless and utterly ruthless corporate entities intent on maintaining
positive control over the free exchange of information that counters their
goals.  Namely, making loads of money by any means necessary.

Ladies and gentlemen,
brothers and sisters and all of the low-life operatives that I am certain
monitor NowPublic in search of dissent: WE ARE IN CRISIS.  Right after the original article appeared on the Internet, it disappeared from the host’s site
forums.  This is not a plot from the
latest Hollywood spy film; this is real life in the United States of government/corporate malfeasance.

Where are the
neo-conservative/republicans who wield the U.S. Constitution in the faces of
progressives on this issue?  Friends, the self-avowed "Defenders of
America" are missing.  Like sheep these political and moral cowards
are no different than the Vichy for making so much big noise about freedom,
democracy and the American right to dissent using Soviet Russia, Cuba and China
as examples of countries where a sneeze without permission is against the law?
  Where are these bastards when it comes to their own nation monitoring
private citizens simply concerned about what their country has become? 
Where are they?

They are protesting at
medical centres that provide a woman her legal right to choose when not bombing
them.  Not one of these moral midgets gives a damn about a child past the foetal
stage.  Nearly all neo-cons are pro-death penalty except in cases of White
supremacist terrorists and murderers who rant and rave about a non-existent
Zionist Occupational Government (ZOG) led by communist Jews using minority
civil rights activists as a front for their sinister plans to run the world and
exterminate White, heterosexual citizens of the God-blessed United States of
America built on top of the petrified remains of dead Indians and Africans.
 

These are the very same
people who demand that municipal law enforcement agencies rountinely
racially-profile African and Latino males yet White Power organisations known
to support Islamic extremists that wish to destroy the average American citizen
operate freely until they decide to rob federal banks.  Even after the
Oklahoma Federal Building and several abortion clinics were bombed, including
an Olympics stadium by an unrepentant Eric Rudolf, not one far-right
organisation in North America was placed on the federal terror watchlist. 
But peaceful and pacifist groups like the abolitionist Quakers are still to my
knowledge listed as a "Credible terrorist threat."  

Where are the "America first" flag-wavers?  Only
a handful of true American patriots are actively serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.  Most soldiers are serving
and dying to put food on the table back home. 
Real people like Pat Tillman and Lori Piestewa are dead and we dishonour
their memories and their service because unlike the big mouths talking trash at
the keg parties, they stepped up to the plate. 
The rest are hiding in plain sight lobbing threats and insults towards
those unable or too fearful to defend themselves from far-right mob rule. 
Playing the victim card, American conservatives vociferously claim that the
mythical "Liberal media" plays up to dangerous left-wing ideologies
at the expense of their petty fears and insecurities which are in fact
empirically proven time and time again to be the only "acceptable"
opinions and policies considered appropriate for American broadcasters.  
I have yet to hear, read or see any legitimate commentary challenging the
Bully-boy status quo.  But my ears and eyes are relentlessly saturated
with the outright lies and despicable partial-truths of an American
administration hell-bent on bending more than 200 years of Constitutional law
and tradition in the name of corporate greed and a quasi-Aryanist
Europocentric supremacist ideal.  Even to the point of outing an American
intelligence agent serving not the governments interests, but those of the American
people who pay her salary.  And as we have all witnessed, no one is being
held accountable for violating not only the clearly defined federal laws
protecting our intelligence people, but for violating the trust these brave
individuals expect from their superiors and the rest of us.

I will be the first to
admit that as an American Indian of African descent I have issues with how this
country has, and continues to regard and treat my peoples after everything we
have done for a country whose stated goal was our extinction.  But I want
to state for the record, I would NEVER work against the security or well-being of
the United States under any circumstances.  My father served proudly in the United States armed forces to earn me the
right to say what I am saying and instilled in me that despite how badly we
have been maligned, that I was born here and by that default, it was my responsibility
to stand with the American republic in spite of its glaring and contradictory
faults.  This is a level of bravery and principle
not one politician in this administration either comprehends or practices.  And we all know this yet are too fearful to
say aloud for fear of retailiation.

Ask anyone in the military.  They know that this administration has broken
the dignity of serving in the U.S. armed forces.  I know people who are currently serving and intensely
read the figures hoping I do not see their names on the list of the
deceased.  As one friend told me, “I have
to go; my team-mates need me.”  As much
as I disagree with his decision as well as the occupation, I deeply respect him
and his bravery as well as his loyalty to the men that he trained.  He was too much of a soldier to let his team
go into combat without him.  This is
bravery.  This is compassion for one’s
fellow man.  This is integrity.  This is something a draft-dodging neer-do-well
frat-boy would not and cannot appreciate.

The shaky state of the American
republic cannot be simply explained away by the pro-USA "Kill em' all and
let the Christian God sort em' out" maniacs waving the American flag.  Their belligerent stupidity in the face of
American fascism is appalling, unacceptable and unforgivable in a nation that
is killing others wholesale in the mane of "Democracy".  Not one
of these Nimrods is worth one pinky-fingernail of a deceased American soldier
who willingly and valiantly sacrificed his or her life in the name of national defence
for their fellow citizens in the wake of 911. 
We do them all a disservice by allowing things to get so bad where even
our Internet activity and personal PC files are being monitored and catalogued not
just by the government, but by private industry concerns like Halliburton.

Something wicked this way

Watching America:
"For many years it was only wild speculation. But now Microsoft has
confirmed: 'Yes, we have collaborated with the National Security Agency
(NSA),: which is the most secretive of all U.S. intelligence services,
in the development of their new Vista operating system. The company
claims that this will enhance security for PC users, but critics fear
there is an entirely different motive.

Berlin: The U.S. National
Security Agency has participated in the development of the new Windows
operating system, called Vista. A Microsoft spokesman confirmed this to
Die Welt. 'For some time, we have been cooperating with the
intelligence services,' said Thomas Baumgärtner, a spokesman for
Microsoft Germany. With the support of the intelligence services, the
goal is to make the operating system more secure against hacker attacks.

It
is the first time that Microsoft has publicly admitted to cooperating
with the secret services, but privacy advocates and critics have
assumed as much for years. They fear that the NSA has built back doors
into the operating system, so that PC’s around the world can be
surveilled - including those owned by private individuals."
