I am 53. I live in Dublin with my partner Connie and my little daughter Charlotte.
I am a journalist with the Sunday World newspaper which is read by a million people in Ireland every weekend.I write a column which is a mixture of serious comment and humour.
I am passionate about Irish heritage and in particular about Tara, a unique area of Ireland containing 5,000 years of history and through which they are currently building a motorway. Business and politics - and even the Green Party - have combined to oversee the destruction of a marvellous, historical area.
I suffer from lymphoma and have done for ten years or more. It affects my feet more than any other part of me. But it's life and my 16 month old daugher makes up for everything.
I love music, modern and classical.
I love old movies.
I love rugby and cricket. I like most sports.
