Within this year India, Pakistan, Nigeria and Afghanistan will receive levels of vaccination coverage that have made outbreaks of Polio a thing of the past for the rest of the world, according to the World Health Organization.
Afghanistan is defined by its atmosphere of perseverance, on all
fronts, and indigenous wild poliovirus is no exception. Transmission
of this virus has not been stopped or effectively addressed, until now.
Governments in these four countries can work together in these countries, it seems. A ray of hope, indeed.

This is an interesting story, Nic. I like the intro very much, and no matter how close we seem to get to the elimination of polio, that achievement seems to disappear over the horizon... Good work.
