A Seattle man's love for his parakeets might have gone a bit too far, after animal rescue workers found over 110 parakeets in his one bedroom apartment.  Neighbours say the noise from the birds could be heard from the street, which is what alerted them to have things checked out. The man who collected the birds for over five years is not expected to be charged with animal cruelty as he cooperated with Seattle Animal Shelter officials.

The birds were being kept in unsanitary conditions and were surrendered by their owner, an unidentified man in his 50s who had been collecting them for about five years.
