The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has a website that allows people to buy care packages for inmates. It is My Care Pack by Canteen Correctional Services. This company is over 30 years old and provides food services, commissary, and laundry services to jails and prisons around the country.

 

According to their website, “We understand that a commissary program is much more than snacks and personal items, it should serve as a profit center that funds other programs and initiatives.” This explains the overpriced package that they sell to family and friends.

The Basic Package of Toiletries will set you back $20. It comes with the following:

1 Cocoa Butter Lotion (4 oz)

1 Fluoride Toothpaste (2.7 oz)

1 Pomade Judging by the ounces, these are trial size items, which means that you would probably have to buy one each week for Paris Hilton.  They are overpriced, but Canteen Corrections Services says they use the money to train inmates. They serve over 70,000 inmates. Paris Hilton is a little thin 115 lbs according to the booking record, so you might buy her some overpriced food. However, since she is in a special unit that only allows her out for an hour a day; she may not have time to boil water for the Romen Noodles. The problem is that package will run you around $50 and includes candies and different flavored noodles.  No doubt that her parents put some money on the books for her, so she can get through the three weeks with a little something. Of course, Paris Hilton could gain weight with in jail, since most of the food is high in starch such as, rice, spaghetti, bread, and other mass quantity food items. Paris Hilton Turned herself in at 11:15 on June 3rd to serve a 23 day sentence for violating her probation by driving on a suspended license. Her original sentence was 45 days, but was immediately reduced. Her expected release day is June 26th according to the booking record, but if she is on good behavior she should get out much earlier.
