UPDATE: Paris begins her three-week sentence today (the sentence was reduced from 45 days due to shortage of space in California's jail system). How will she do? Something tells me we'll hear about it...

Paris is going to jail for 45 days. I sense the pitch for a new season of The Simple Life...

A Los Angeles judge handed down the sentence after prosecutors contended in a two-hour hearing that Hilton had violated her probation when she was ticketed in late February for driving a blue Bentley Continental GTC on Sunset Boulevard with a suspended license. Hilton and her attorneys argued that it was a mistake and that her action did not warrant a jail sentence.

I suppose if you're not in Southern California this is news. I'm glad that the judge presiding over this matter threw the book at her.

I wonder if she gets to bring her kinkajou? Anyway, I'm convinced that Paris Hilton isn't a real person but was grown in a vat somewhere and programmed to carry out antics for our amusement.
