Paris Hilton--I've Never Done Drugs!

Paris has declared that she has "Found God…" Good lord.  Next thing you know, she'll be adopting kids left and right or attempt to be some goodwill ambassador like Angelina.  Give me a freakin' break.

Here is a great ass kissing moment last night on Larry King Live:

PARIS: “I consider you an icon and I really respect you and it’s an honor to be here today…When I heard I was asked to be on your show I was really excited.”

Is it because no other major networks wanted to touch her with a 10 foot pole? (no pun intended...ha.)

LARRY KING: Do you think you got raw deal?

PARIS: Yeah I do…but um, even though I hated it…I feel this is a “blessing in disguise.”

What an over-used lame phrase.  Couldn't she come up with something more original?  She was probably too stupid to figure out what to say so one of her PR people made her notes on cards that she kept hidden in her lap.

The BIG LIE:

KING: Do you take drugs…do you ever use drugs?

PARIS: No.

But aha! Isn't marijuana considered a drug?  Her best friend was Nicole Richie...a notorious drug addict...not to mention stupid cokehead and oxycotin psycho Lindsay Lohan. Paris is and will always be a party animal who acts crazy.  It doesn't take much common sense to know that she's done more than just smoking pot.

Who cares if she has previously smoked or still smokes weed?  It's not a big deal in my book...but why lie about it when there are pictures all over the internet proving that she is a liar!

Now, do you honestly think this girl is going to change her ways?  Please...

Who is the next prison bitch?  The Simple Life 2: Nicole Richie Goes to Jail.  I can't wait for that one.  I'll have to TIVO it.

Why do we bother to continue to pay attention to these vain and vapid so-called celebrities?  It only reinforces the notion that being uneducated (possibly stupid), attractive and (in others' opinions) cool is a thing to be attained.  When their ridiculous antics become newsworthy, what does this tell young people about what's important?

Celebrities are a distraction and it's entertainment.  Paris Hilton is a socialite turned celebrity and although I hate to admit it, she is a branding genious.

Maybe she can start her own clothesline? "Jailhouse Rock Fashions" by Paris?  Her theme colors for the ads should be in orange with big black lettering.  Her logo would be "Property of D.O.C."  Plus there would be D.O.C handbags to match!  Big enough to fit your dog in!

Sorry...but she's like a train wreck and I have to watch and rip.

So is being America's most famous whore the cost of wanting fame, money, non-stop shopping and partying, paparazzi, yet is the most laughed at?  Money isn't all that to me...I am not materialistic and I have respect for myself and for my family.  If I did what she does, my father would kill me, THEN disown me.  But I'm a midwest girl, and I was brought up different from her world of weirdness.

I could care less about the drugs...who hasn't at least tried them?  Be honest now!  But to go on Larry King and straight up LIE just kills me.  She's DONE (pun intended) everything else!?  She HAD TO KNOW she'd be called out...this just reiterates that she is just a stupid broad.

At least Clinton admitted he smoked, but "didn't inhale"!  And he was running for president!  :)

good stuff:

Those pics crack me up.  She is a moron.  And her best buddy Nicole Richie is facing jail time?  It's been reported that she is pregnant!  Guess what we will be seeing on the news 24/7?  A pregnant rich girl in jail.

Poor baby.

Only time will tell...  I'm a skeptic so I give her 3-6 months.  Look at Britney...out of rehab and out partying again!

It will be hard for her to change when she's lived this way her entire life.  She's going to have to make new friends and get involved in other things, new people, etc.  It's like rehab...you can't go back to your former life or you will most likely "relapse".

I hope she keeps her word about changing because I would hate to have all these little girls running around half naked screaming, "That's HOT!"  I worry about the future of our young girls.

I understand your concern, but the children of the new Earth are much stronger than we give them credit for. Maybe we should be focusing less on what it is that we are trying to teach them and more on what they can be teaching us.

I absolutely respect your opinion, but I have to disagree.

According to studies I've read, those born after 1980 are considered the
most self-centered generation of all time.  Kids today are superficial,
materialistic and most don't pay attention to what is going on in the world.
The only time they seem to care is when something directly affects them...then
they take notice.  I just don't think they have a clue about the real
world.

I am a Gen X'er...I got involved, was (and still am) an activist,
volunteered with AIDS patients, got involved in women's causes and issues...I
soaked in every bit of knowledge I could.  I wanted to change the
world.  Not destroy it.

I don't remember kids bringing guns to school, having metal detectors,
security guards and the worry of some crazed student that might shoot up the
school.

A big majority of the younger generation (NOT ALL) is lazy, unfocused, and
generally apathetic.  They think they the world owes them something and
they don't want to work their way up the ladder like the rest of us had to
do.  I had to work my ass of to get where I am today...I am proud, it made
me tougher, smarter, and the person I am today.

Here is one of my favorite quotes that is fitting for the subject at hand...

Maybe you're right. Maybe we do need to listen more and talk less.  Maybe "out of the mouths of babes and sucklings" is more than just a trite saying.  Maybe we do need to respect each other and respect our environment more.  Maybe we have lost the symbiotic link we once had to the planet that sustains us.  But do these messages need to be wrapped up in so much New Age bullshit?

I'm sorry but a "celebrity" going into rehab or prison and finding God or Jesus is such a hackneyed cliche nowadays that it almost seems like another scripted form of entertainment designed to fit into the cookie cutter view of the world that anaesthetises us.  I can imagine agents contact marketing people to think up the next "drama" in their clients' lives in order to boost their numbers and create more "news".  But of course, you've got to target the right demographic this time.

Celebrities are a distraction, but a distraction from what?  We have the cult of celebrity and the cult of sport and "America's Stupidest Criminals" and purile talk shows on which more celebrities talk about their oh-so-hard lives, pumped at us day after day.  We're told that this stuff is what we should be interested in because these people "matter", "they're people too (sob!)", concentrate on that and let us worry about this other stuff.  And we all get dumber on a diet of intellectually sterile drivel.
