Richard Branson, Chairman of Virgin Airlines has begun a fund for the
parents of missing Madeleine McCann. The fund would help Kate and Gerry
McCann with the expenses associated with the ongoing legal issues. He has also, asked some of his friends to contribute the fund.

"If he can help a little bit to take the burden off the family and extended family in this small way, then that's all to the good," the spokesman said, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with Virgin practice.

Branson had already contributed to a $2 million fund set up to help find Madeleine.

The family decided last week that it would not use the fund to cover legal costs for Madeleine's parents. Members of the extended family had discussed selling their homes to help the couple.

merrie,  Good stuff. I would also like to see a good private detective put on the case to find Madeleine.

thanks liamssoft,

I wonder if that's happening yet, they should get on that.  I think the Portuguese

police should be investigated, too. There is something fishy there.

Yes the local Police look incompetent. What about the other children that have been kidnapped in Portugal, where are they and is there any connection?

It looks like the child trafficking networks that had been reported about

early on, are operating with impunity and the Portuguese police are like Inspector

Clousseau. It could be that the corrupt police are hindering the investigation, too.

The McCann's need to hire an investigator, if they haven't already. This is a heart

breaking case.
