Britney Spears: Cops Investigating Contract "Hit" on Ex-Hubby Federline's Life

Along with allegations of drug use, nudity, and just plain weird behavior, the custody wars between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline raged into FBI jurisdiction. They, and the LAPD, are investigating reports of a contract hit intended against Federline.

Britney Spears' future as a mother and a performer was in jeopardy Monday as her former bodyguard accused the pop star of having "issues of nudity and drug use" since she returned from rehab, and reports of a planned "hit" on Kevin Federline emerged.

The bodyguard's attorney, high-profile lawyer Gloria Allred, said Spears' attorney chose not to cross-examine the bodyguard, who has been described as a "secret witness" against Spears.

Meanwhile, "Entertainment Tonight" reported that the FBI and LAPD are investigating legitimate leads on a contract hit on Spears' ex-husband Federline's life.
