LOS ANGELES -- Christian Brando, 49, the troubled eldest son
of famed actor Marlon Brando, has died from pneumonia at a Los Angeles hospital, an attorney said Saturday.

We’re sad to report that Christian Brando, son of Marlon Brando, died early this morning. He was 49.

Brando passed away at 1:47 a.m. at the Hollywood Presbyterian
Medical Center in Los Angeles. He had been admitted to the hospital’s
intensive care unit on January 11 for pneumonia.

“This is a sad and difficult time for the family,” said David Seeley, a lawyer for Marlon Brando’s estate.
