TruemorsBandung, W Java (ANTARA News) - The West Java provincial administration
presented an award to former Indonesian foreign affairs minister Dr
Mochtar Kusumaatmadja as a consistent Sundanese culturalist.
"Mr Mochtar is a consistent Sundanese culturalist, many of his works
have inspired local youths," West Java Governor Danny Setiawan said
after presenting the award late on Monday.
The award was received by one of Mochtar`s relatives.
The West Java provincial administration also gave the same award to 15
other Sundanese figures, including artists, cultural observers,
institutions and figures who contributed significantly to the tourism
sector.
Among them were WS Rendra, Dr Saini KM, Sundanese magazine Mangle, Cipta Gelar settlement and Pikiran Rakyat daily.(*) END
