It has been revealed that one of the five children killed in the Omagh house fire had called the emergency services minutes before the blaze started.

The body of 13-year-old Caroline McElhill was found with a telephone in one hand and rosary beads in the other.

The PSNI also confirmed that it is not looking for anyone else in connection with the fire. Forensic reports have revealed that the fire was started inside the house at the bottom of the stairs.

A family of seven died in the blaze at the end-of-terrace house in Lammy Crescent in Omagh.

The five children ranged in age from 13 to less than a year.

The funeral service for Arthur McElhill, Lorraine McGovern and their five children was held in Omagh on Saturday.

Arthur McElhill was then buried in Ederney, Co Fermanagh, while Lorraine McGovern and their five children were laid to rest in Corlough in Co Cavan.
