A town is at times seen by its monuments, my its buildings, by its history, by its people.  For those who live in Surrey, there knowledge of the city is that it can be a nice plact to live in.  Howeve this thought has just had a major shake.  The recent murders at an apartment building in the 9800 block of East Whalley Ring Road, has caused a major stir in the image of Surrey, this time on the people of Surrey itself.

Many views and opinions have been heard, and many thoughts and tags have been put on these incedents, all of them are negative.  An anonymous women, was the second cousin of one of the dead.  She had a tragic impact on her life.  As she to lives in Surrey, caution had been brought up in her mind.  One question I asked was does safety hold a big concern for you.  A simple answer, "yes."

A surrey man took me in to his take of how this is effecting the city.  I am filled with his story.  He has lived her for a few years now.  He knows that these things generally are held to a group of people.  If your not involved, there is no problem to be had.  He fears how the image of Surrey is actually getting wersened from what he feels isn't actually a very prestigous city.  He goes on to tell me of things that arent really repeatable of what he sees in the city.  Also how some people came to Bc and didnt want to go to Surrey cause they were to scared to come.  His words were that the city is bleeding from these things that happen.  He just hopes that the bleeding can stop.
