Off the bat a man would be in jail, his life ruined, probably
fired, divorced, homeless, called a pervert and put on a sex offender
list. This woman will be understood, sent to therapy, offered mental
health, offered a playboy spread.
It’s not fair!!!!

A Coral Springs mother of three who was arrested in 2006 for having sex with a 17-year-old boy pleaded no contest Monday to three counts of child abuse.

Deborah Reeder, 46, was sentenced to 2 ½ years of house arrest and 12 years of probation.

She also must complete sex offender counseling — though she is not labeled a sexual offender — and can’t have contact with the victim, her son’s friend.

Reeder also is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with males between the ages of 14 and 17 who are not members of her family.

”She’s definitely paying the price,” said Michael Metz, her defense attorney.

“She’s got to follow some very stringent guidelines. The state and I spent quite a bit of time negotiating what we thought was a fair and just resolution.”

Assistant State Attorney Dennis Siegel said it was the outcome the victim’s family wanted.

Reeder had been charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a second-degree felony, but later agreed to plead no contest to the lesser charges.

When Reeder was arrested in 2006, authorities said she was a substitute teacher, but said that none of the sexual encounters with the victim took place in a school. MH

A Victim? The 17 year old boy is a victim? With the childhood I
had it would be impossible to convince me that this kid is a victim of
anything but incredible luck.
