Perhaps Mr Cameron impressed someone

The leader of the Conservative Party in Britain, David Cameron, made a quick trip to Darfur, had the requisite photographs taken (he is likes these coups du théâtre and must imagine that he is good at them) and now is able to play the champion of the poor oppressed with more conviction, I suppose.  The Muslim despot Omar Hassan al-Bashir can continue to rule in peace as he smiles at the continued role-playing of his U.N. and other Western interlocutors: the millions of refugees in Darfur and southern Chad, and the hundreds of thousands of dead Darfuris, are not really any of their concern, and he knows it.
