NP Rank:
PETA's New "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" Spokes Model
On February 9, 2007, Michelle Manhart, formerly a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, was kicked out of her job, despite the fact she had served 13 spotless years, received perfect scores on performance reports and been recommended for immediate promotion. Her infraction? Posing nude in Playboy. Posing for Playboy had been a lifelong dream for Michelle and so she jumped at the opportunity. When the magazine came out, her chain of command removed her, citing unsavory off-duty conduct. While Michelle hadn't broken any rules, the military made it clear that it didn't feel she represented the uniform well.
Two months later, after weeks of questions going unanswered, Michelle got an out-of-the-blue call from her lawyer giving her the good news: She was finally receiving an honorable discharge. Now she's free to pursue her acting and modeling dreams. One of her first big gigs is as PETA's (People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals) "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" international spokes model. Pamela Anderson look out - there's a new girl in town.

Other than the obvious, that I'd like to play Drill Sargent with her, it's getting to be a tired scenario. Girl gets nudes taken and "we all act shocked and dissaprove", then she sells more pictures and makes a movie where she shows as much skin as legally possable. She'll get rich and we'll all watch her in the skimpy outfits. You could have done an article on Bad Girls of the Famous Crowd and like Miss America's and Police Women, it will all sound like the same old story over and over. I guess it has to get to the press.
