Pfizer pharmaceuticals faces a new $6.5 billion lawsuit from the Nigerian government for tests conducted on children in the northern state of Kano.

The case centers around an outbreak of meningitis in 1996, during which Pfizer, the world's largest pharmaceuticals group, tested the antibiotic Trovan on 200 children at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Kano.
