In a new book published about the harrowing jail system in the Philippines, Raymund Narag painted his a bleak picture of a prison system more in tune with the 19th century than the modern age.
The author laid out in graphic detail the subhuman existence inmates
were forced to endure: the stench, the overcrowding, the toilets that
ran like rivers through the cells, disease and death.
Hope the world will listen this time.
