NP Rank:
PHOENIX IS OFFICIALLY “5th” LARGEST U.S. CITY
According to the U.S. Census Bureau it’s a fact, finally! We have all heard these rumors for years, only to find out it is not true or “official”. Well not any more! Phoenix has the ranking of being 5th largest city in population with 1,512,986 Million people!
For those that are wondering, what will it take to make us the 4th largest city? We have to gain 631,505 people plus to take & make 4th largest, which is Houston Texas with 2,144,491 people.
Phoenix was not the only cities mentioned in the Census for growth in Arizona. Also mentioned for “fastest growing” cities where the cities of Gilbert, Ariz. (ranked #2nd) and Chandler, Ariz. (ranked #9) respectively.
