Picture one of top 25 in the country

A PAINTING on display in Althorp House has been judged one of the 25 most important pieces of artwork kept by private owners in Britain.

George, Lord Digby, and William, Lord Russell, a portrait by 17th century Flemish artist Sir Anthony van Dyck, has been handed down through generations of the Spencer family and is named among one of the most important Old Masters paintings in the country by a specialist art history magazine.
