Pittsburgh

Sienna Miller, eat your right heart out! [she called Pittsburgh, Shitsburgh after filming a movie there.]

PlacesRated just named [after 22 years] Pittsburgh the most livable city in the U.S. Known for it's steel industry, great hockey and football teams, Pittsburgh beat our 378 other metropolitan cities in nine categories including economy, transportation, education, recreation, ambiance, health care, crime, housing and climate. Way to go Pittsburgh! Watch the slideshow here.

"What you're seeing here is the result of a lot of hard work. We were coming off a bad decade where there were a lot of financial issues in the city proper.

VOTED WORST CITY

WRONG! who made and took this poll (The idiots of Pittsburgh is who) you folks forgot to take this poll outside of your city!

SHE’S RIGHT! Schitzburg Sucks, Lived near there for a year (SHITTY CHARLEROI, PA -BIG MISTAKE)–I’ve been to every major city in the U.S. and  lots of places around the world this one is the worst! bad mannered people, crime is crazy, corrupt mayor, the place has been in a recession since the 1930s, Coal trains run straight thru all the small towns and crap hole of a city, coal tunnels run underneith it, houses where built by the people who make tuna cans, anybody that thinks this place looks nice should go suck on some more coal. Quellers have always cheated to win their games, smog, run down, overrun, drug infeasted, crime ridden, butt crack of town called SCHITZBURGH (home of the QUELLERS, STOLL PIGIONS & BUTT PIRATES!)

The previous poster must have had the worst experiences of his/her life there.  I grew up around that area and while I'll agree that the economy took a hit for a while, Pittsburgh is definitely back on the map.  It's economy is one of the few cities in the country that is actually growing instead of dying.  More businesses and people keep moving back in every day.  Great group of people, crime rate isn't high at all, and the only time you're disturbed by coal trains is if you "live near a mine or in a van down by the river."  Sorry you had such a bad time there, but you're one of the few.  You want to talk about pathetic?  How about the cities in the midwest.  They're pathetic and falling apart (except for Chicago).  I lived in Cleveland for about 10 years.  I moved recently because I couldn't take living there any more.  THAT city has a crime problem.  THAT city's economy is in the toilet.  It's a filthy, disgusting place that's every bit as bad as Detroit.  If Pittsburgh is the worst place you've every seen you should consider yourself lucky because that means most of your time has been spent completely upper-class areas like Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Manhattan, and Monaco.  Have your limo driver take you through the Midwest and the South so you can see what bad really is.

If pittsburgh is so great, how come it's been declining in population for over 60 years? Pittsburgh's on the map? Haha, that's a good one. Pittsburgh's isn't even in the top 50 in population. You're no more famous than the two cities of Aurora, CO and Riverside, CA with whom are ahead and behind you respectivly in population. Compared to your midwest bretheren, Pittsburgh is great. But that's the little league ladies. Try competing with the East Coast cities of Boston, NY, Philly, or DC and we'll see where you stand then.
