TAMPA - The trouble seems to be continuing for former New York Yankee Dwight Gooden.

According to Tampa police, a 2004 BMW was pulled over early Monday morning on West Cleveland Street near Howard when officers suspected the driver was drunk. The man behind the wheel identified himself as Dwight Gooden, and refused repeated requests to get out of the vehicle, insisting that he was OK.

No easy out for Gooden

Fallen fireballer Dwight (Doc) Gooden will likely be watching the next World Series with a bunch of jailbirds.

A Tampa judge ordered the former Mets and Yankee pitcher held without
bail yesterday until his Oct. 25 hearing for bolting from a
drunken-driving arrest and spending four days on the run.
