ANTARA Expected to provide positive information on Palestine and RI

The signing of the MoU on news exchange was conducted by newly appointed president director of Antara Dr Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf and Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Fariz Mehdawi.

The cooperation could develop the information on identity and dignity of the Palestinian nation which until now is still struggling for independence for Palestine and defies Israeli occupation.

"It is something proper for Indonesia, a predominantly Moslem country, to provide full support to struggle of the Palestinian people including the dissemination of positive information on their struggle to gain freedom in Middle East," A Rani said.

The dignity of the Palestinian people`s struggle could be built by disseminating positive information by Antara as the only news agency in Indonesia, he noted.

"So far, we often read such news on the struggle of the Palestinian nation from national media quoting foreign news agencies and in the future the Indonesian public will be able to get first hand information on Palestine disseminated by Antara," he said.
