Army to remain consistent in conducting internal reforms: chief

"The TNI AD has been seriously conducting internal reforms in accordance with the mandate of Law No.34/2004 on the National Defense Forces," he said after chairing a function marking the transfer of the post of commander of the Army`s Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad) in Bogor, south of here, on Tuesday.

In conducting its internal reforms, the Army had adhered to three principles, namely withdrawal from business activity, abanonment of its former role in practical politics, and readiness to abide by the law on military tribunals currently being deliberated in the parliament, he said.

"We have implemented the three principles properly," he said.
