"Australia is the number one destination for Indonesians seeking to study abroad. This is because the quality of Australia`s education system is international-class, and because there are a diverse range of courses that are not available elsewhere," Farmer said.
"In addition, courses contain practical elements and are oriented towards future careers, and students get to live in a native-English-speaking country," the Ambassador added.
There are currently about 15,000 Indonesians studying in schools, universities and technical colleges across Australia.
