Bali to host ABU general assembly next year

Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - Bali will host the 45th General Assembly
of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) scheduled for November
16-23, 2008.



Indonesia`s Bali island was selected to host ABU`s general assembly by
participants of ABU`s 44th General Assembly held in Tehran, Iran, from
November 1 to 6, 2007.



The ABU meeting in Tehran was attended by around 500 delegates from 53
countries, including Indonesia, Gusti Bagus Sudhyatmaka Sugriwa, the
head of the regional office of state radio station RRI in Denpasar,
said here on Wednesday.
