Everything that is happening in the land written here; from my blog at ConservativeINC.

Why would anyone want to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize when Hitler was?

A well-meaning article by National Review Editor Rich Lowry makes the point that capitalism needs a slogan like socialism has.
He rightly points out that without economic growth spurred on by the
adoption of capitalism in many parts of the world there would not be
major gains in quality of life around the world as well. But capitalism
works not because it has a slick marketing arm but because it works.
And it works because it allows every player in an economy to
continuously make the decisions about price, demand, supply, and every
other facet of the economy without having to rely on the “wisdom” of
the idiots on top.

News Busters highlighted a tirade from one of the newest crop of 24 actors, Janeane Garofalo.
Don’t really give that much credence because, well, she’s paid to
pretend to be other people and that doesn’t qualify her in my mind to
be anything other than an actor.

But I do give credence to Sonny Corleone, um James Caan,
“Nobody should give a shit about an actor’s opinion on politics.” Wait,
what, that breaks my rule from the previous paragraph? Oh, well, just
because you’re paid to pretend to be a bad ass in every role gives you
a break from that rule. Or, if you’re Jerry Seinfeld.

With all the accusations flying at Blackwater, especially after they
were kicked out of Iraq for a short while, you would think that they
were the worst people in Iraq. Well, based on the following picture we
see just the tip of the iceberg of al Qaeda’s evilness. Can’t we just
revoke their license to work in Iraq? Isn’t that basically how the
liberals want us to fight the War on Terror, with gavels and court
orders?

al Qaeda execute five Iraqis. Blackwater gets kicked out of country.

But al Qaeda considers brutality of this type good propaganda and according to Douglas Farah propaganda is what they are focusing on now.

Why the sudden surge in communications with the network?
That, to me, is the most important question. The content is important
and should be analyzed, especially the call to war against Musharraf in
Pakistan and the call to retake Spain for Islam. But much of the
statements are simply restatements of old positions and rhetoric.

Perhaps, as the “Base” takes on a life of its own, the old
leadership sees a need to reassert its relevancy. Or perhaps the old
guard no longer holds a great deal of appeal to the young men wanting
to fight the “hot” wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and are drawn to
different jihadi organizations, rather than the old men living in caves
or apartments.

Or perhaps the productions are largely intended as morale boosters
for the cadre in the absence of significant successful attacks in the
United States and Europe.

What does seem clear to me is that this propaganda machine, run at
some risk and expense, is vitally important to the leadership. It is
also vital for those in a virtual world, looking for some point of
connection, to have access to this material, as well as being useful to
those seeking to recruit.

I am not sure what it means, but it is another sign of how much work
there is to do in shutting down the message as well as the messenger.

Only through the media will they win. Our change in tactics has
dealt significant blows to al Qaeda Iraq and will continue to do so.
Their best chance is to beat us through the main stream media.

Or we could just let them beat each other up through the digital battlefront as they are doing in Iraq right now. Counterterrorism blog has a link-rich post that illustrates this situation. Shiite and Sunni militias are employing media warfare in their fights against each other.

Sweetness & Light takes aim at the race mongers behind the Jena 6 scandal. They take apart point by point a post made by one of AOL’s black bloggers; Black Voices, with the post from Black Voices in italics.

The six black teenagers who have become know as the
Jena Six were at first charged with attempted murder in the beating of
a white classmate after nooses were hung from a tree at school.

There is no evidence that the nooses incident had anything to do
with the beating. It happened three months later, and was not mentioned
in any of the 40 statements taken by the authorities, according to the
black US attorney on the case.

Despite their age, all but one young man was also charged as an adult.

They were tried as adults because they were adults under Louisiana law.

After being convicted by and [sic] all-white jury…

Only whites showed up for the jury pool. The 150 people called for
jury duty included black citizens, but only 50 people appeared, and
none of them were black. It’s difficult to have blacks on a jury when
they refuse to show up for jury duty.

Bell was the last to have his conviction of aggravated assault overturned by a Louisiana appeals court last week…

Bell was both the first and last to have his conviction vacated. He
was originally tried as an adult because of his four prior (violent)
felony convictions.

Fights where [sic] followed by arrests, but the white teens who hung the nooses were not charged with a crime.

Because there was no law broken. However, the three white students
involved were suspended. Moreover, the victim of the beating which
occurred three months later had nothing whatsoever to do with this
incident.

The comments also got ugly at Black Voices as a black man berated
the race lobby as focusing on all the wrong stuff just so they could
get their faces on TV. Another commenter, black as well, countered his
opinion only like liberals can:

To Douglas Watts(No.3) if you’re really a black man, then you are definitely a sell out, uncle tom ass pro-white kiss ass.

Dr. Ahmadinejad, sure, we’ll listen to what he has to say. A black man who doesn’t march to the orders of Saints Jesse and Al, well, you know.

From Investor’s Business Daily we get a great editorial exposing George Soros’ helmsmanship of the far left. The good people at Instapundit pointed this editorial out
and I’m glad that they did because it gives this little tidbit about
how Soros money and influence has gone to fund terrorists and their
sympathizers.

Soros’ Open Society Institute gave $20,000 for the legal
defense of radical attorney Lynne Stewart. She was convicted in 2002 of
abetting jailed terrorists after the 1993 World Trade Center bombing….

He has handed $3.1 million to the left-wing Tides Foundation, which
funds organizations, such as the Sea Shepherds, Earth First! and the
Ruckus Society, that have condoned or engaged in eco-terrorism.

On the international front, Soros-backed groups have undercut
important U.S. allies, including Israel and Colombia, which have
aligned with the U.S. rather than the U.N.

From Iraq the Model we find out this interesting little nugget of
Jihadi destruction going on in Iraq. al Qaeda Iraq has embraced
scorched earth tactics in dealing with towns in Iraq.

Apparently this is the latest chapter in al-Qaeda’s war
manual in their war against the Iraqi people and the coalition; raiding
remote peaceful villages, burning down homes and slaughtering both man
and beast.

This campaign I will call a campaign of self-destruction. For
probably a year al-Qaeda was trying to build their so called Islamic
State in Iraq and several times they declared parts of Baghdad or other
provinces as the capital of that state.

But now that they have been losing one base after another their
objective changed from adding more towns and villages to the “state” to
destroying the very same towns and villages! Obviously it’s all about
making headlines regardless of the means to do that!

“You know, we have terrorists because we go into their countries and
steal their oil, rape their women, and kill their men. If we just laid
off of them, man, we wouldn’t have no terrorists.” Next time you here a
liberal tell you we create terrorists just laugh.

In other news, if only the people building these compounds in rural
America were white we could, with clear conscience, call them
terrorists. Unfortunately for the politically correct among us they are Muslims and they practice shooting at school buses.
This just highlights the totally unconventional nature of this war and
is good proof that we need every intelligence capability working to
find groups like these and snuffing them out.

The vapidity of the intellectual elite of the West would be laughable if it weren’t so sad. Columbia has retroactively invited Hitler to speak at their university. The only sad part, from their point of view, is that he is unable to attend.

From the Huffington Post we find out that the State Department is doing what some individuals are already doing; taking the fight to the web.
Bloated bureaucracies are so horribly slow to react to changing
situations my guess is that military intelligence agencies have been
doing this type of asymmetrical warfare for some time against the
Jihadists. But only tasking two Arab speaking agents to this task at
State, even for a bloated bureaucracy, is beyond the pale.

The people at DailyKos hate everyone who doesn’t agree with them or
doesn’t hate the United States as much as them. That is the only
explanation of words like the following could be written about men who
were honorably discharged from the military and are now working in a
profession where they protect government officials:

The story as it appears in the traditional media:

Federal prosecutors are investigating whether employees of the
private security firm Blackwater USA illegally smuggled into Iraq
weapons that may have been sold on the black market and ended up in the
hands of a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, officials said
Friday.

The story as it would be happening if the perpetrators didn’t have federal contracts, fancy suits, and a PR firm:

Military intelligence officials are torturing employees members
of a suspected terrorist cell that illegally smuggled into Iraq weapons
that may have been sold on the black market and ended up in the hands
of a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, officials said Friday.

Don’t let any leftist make the argument against you that they
support the troops. They despise the military because it is the
representation of everything that they are not. They don’t want to save
their lives by bringing them home they want to destroy their souls by
destroying the honor they so rightly deserve.

Another thing about sites run by the far left is that their message
boards are the most hate-filled places you will ever find outside
select caves controlled by al Qaeda. They mercilessly attack contrary
posters for typos and unfleshed out points. But I think it is their own
bloggers who can’t seem to string a thought together long enough to
make their point.

In Fiscal Insanity
at DailyKos the poster tries to make the point that President Bush
didn’t get an A in tax cuts (which was a funny aside by the president
at a news conference, not a statement of historical fact if you
liberals didn’t catch that). To make this point he directs us to an article from the Washington Post
which goes on to tick off what we could spend money on if it weren’t
for the war in Iraq. Tax cuts are not the same as spending - enough
said.

BigT’s Quck Hits:

NewsBusters covers the most thought provoking student editorial ever.

Yom Kippur suicide attack averted in Israel.

Oh no! Global warming (I predict will be referred to as climate change because warming is to concrete of a term) is killing turtles and our history.

We are such warmongers that we are running out of space at military cemeteries, it’s about Iraq.

And they found the cave that Osama is hiding in. It’s on Mars.
