Eighteen foreign defense attaches visiting N. Sulawesi

The visit to North Sulawesi was part of efforts to study Indonesia as a whole, said Col Keith Rodrigues, defense attache at the Singaporean Embassy, here Tuesday.

North Sulawesi was a very friendly, secure region that could be a good example for other countries to follow, he said.

Local residents had a high sense of tolerance for foreign nationals and this needed to be appreciated, he said.
