A four letter word was published by a college newspaper in Colorado. The word didn't just slip into the fine print it was published in big, bold letters as part of the headline of an article on Page 4.

The Rocky Mountain Collegian's editor says a panel of seven students came up with the title. It was part of an editorial article about the recent taser-gate incident at the University of Florida.

Colorado State University leaders issued a statement about the F-bomb in the article reminding people that it is against the law for the college to censor the school's newspaper.

The editor says the goal was to get students talking about freedom of speech, not to offend anyone. You can hear reaction to the article, and hear from the Rocky Mountain Collegian's editor by clicking here.

The Collegian is self funded, not paid for by student fees.
