Fauzi promises to soon overcome traffic jams in Jakarta

"The building of the new corridors has so far not been efficient to reduce the traffic jams. Our good intention to build TransJakarta should not be disrupted by such a problem," he said.

To that effect, Fauzi promised to make a personal inspection of a number of locations of the busway project next week from which his side could take measures to cope with traffic jams.

The Jakarta transportation office planned to operate the three busway corridors early in 2008 to bring the number of busway corridors in Jakarta to 10.
