The spread between Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama is about 4000 votes. With 60% of the Votes in and two major college towns yet to report. Obama can still over come this spread. Gov. Mitt Romney has ticked up to within 6 points over the last few reports. He will be unable to overcome the spread. The outcome on the Republican side is now falling close to our projections. Gov Huckabee's third place finish with 11% of the vote is 7 points lower than our projections. Could John Edwards make a third party bid? Bill Krystal from Fox News reports that exit polls show Edwards and Obama demographics look closer than Edwards and Clinton. If Edwards drops out so he doesn't have to take a loss in Mi and SC. Where will his votes go? Let your opinion be heard!

Our Politisite Polls Report on the Republican side lined up as we said. We thought the spread between McCain and Romney would be 5% points or less. On the Democratic side, we expected a larger gap between Obama and Clinton would be much higher. We had Obama to win by double digits. The first votes were coming in from the major cities favoring Clinton. We expect the Gap to get very close and Obama to over take Clinton in th end. A recount May be necessary on the Democratic side.

politisite, great work here. Thank you for the coverage. I just got a breaking news alert from CNN predicting that McCain will win the primary.

Yes: All the networks have projected him as winner. On the democratic side, Obama / Clinton are mirroring the last election. Clintons votes are coming from major cities and Obamas from out lying areas. Obama's strong areas will come in toward the end. You will see the numbers get tighter toward the end.
