"I will ask the TNI chief to clarify," Agung told newsmen after receiving Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Antasari Azhar at the legislative building here on Wednesday.

The House speaker said the TNI commander was expected to make the clarification to the House`s Commission I as the TNI`s working partner in the DPR.

A clarification to the public, according to Agung, was necessary because the people wanted to know how civilians and foreign businessmen could have been permitted to travel in a military helicopter.

The ill-fated military helicopter was carrying several civilians and foreigners when it crashed onto an oil palm plantation at Bukit Ogung village in Pelalawan district, Riau province, on Monday, January 7.
