"This is the last chance for former Indonesian citizens in Malaysia to regain their Indonesian citizenship," Tatang B Razak, Charge d`Affaires of the Indonesian embassy here said on Thursday.

The Indonesian government is again opening a chance for hundreds of thousands of former Indonesian citizens living in Malaysia to have their citizenship restored, and to obtain a green passport.

Indonesia offered the same opportunity to ex-Indonesian citizens in Malaysia in late 2005. But only about 30,000 came to the embassy to register.
