I see your Kennedy and raise you a Reagan

In 1984, George Orwell wrote, “He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.”  I suppose that in the present, that means we should all choose the
past we most want the future to look like: Reagan’s, Clinton’s or
Kennedy’s.
