Indonesia envoy to Japan leaves for Jakarta for preparation of Prince Akishino
"I am leaving for Jakarta on Wednesday to help the State Secretariat prepare various activities which have been put in the agenda by the Japanese empire and the governments of the two countries," Ambassador Jusuf Anwar said here on Tuesday.
He said his return to Indonesia was to make further coordination with Jakarta to facilitate a activities in relation to the golden anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Japan.
"Please take note that the visit by the Japanese prince and princess to Indonesia is to pave the way for the observance of the two countries` diplomatic relations golden anniversary," said Jusuf Anwar added.
Prince Akishino and Princess Kawashimo Kiko would visit Indonesia from January 18 to 24 to attend the peak event in celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Indonesia-Japan diplomatic relations.
The peak event of the anniversary celebrations would be held at the Indonesia-in-Miniature Park (TMII) on Jan 20 in the presence of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, cabinet ministers and members of the Japanese community in Indonesia.
