Indonesia should encourage Fatah and Hamas to unite

"Many Islamic countries strongly support the struggle of the Palestinian people. However, the key for the Palestinian independence is the unity of Hamas and Fatah, in addition to concrete support from Arab nations," he said here on Sunday.

He said that Hamas and Fatah could combine their strengths as Hamas has good fighting strategies while Fatah has good international diplomacy strategies.

Muzadi also emphasized that member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) should provide financial support to Palestine, in addition to extending political and morale support.
