"The MoU will be signed when Timor Leste`s prime minister visits Indonesia next January," Haerani of the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
She made the remarks at a national seminar on management of border areas in Indonesia which was held in East Nusa Tenggara`s provincial capital of Kupang.
Haerani said Indonesia and Timor Leste needed to sign several MoUs on several issues regarding their border areas, including the drug and food supervision issue.
"There are a number of MoUs but most of them are still under internal deliberations by the relevant agencies. The MoUs are part of the management of border areas," she said.
