Iranian Troops form Swastika with drill teams
Iran’s precision drill teams are pretty good, I wonder if they go into battle in those formations.
TEHRAN, Iran — Iran’s military used its feet this week to send a clear message to the United States and Israel.
A colorful inspection exercise staged for Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and broadcast on Iranian TV featured precision drill teams massing into an American flag with a swastika and a Star of David, each “stabbed” by a formation of the Zulfiqar, the legendary scimitar of the Islamic leader Ali.Khamenei is shown in the broadcast inspecting the drill teams, which chant to him, “Khamenei, we are your soldiers. Khamenei, at your command,” according to a translation provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
The exhibition comes as the chief of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards shrugged off harsh new U.S. sanctions that are the most sweeping since 1979, saying “the corps is ready to defend the ideals of the revolution more than ever before.”
Washington announced the sanctions Thursday targeting the Revolutionary Guards, which the U.S. accuses of supporting terrorism by backing Shiite militants in Iraq. The sanctions ban U.S. dealings with the extensive network of businesses believed linked to the Guards — and put stepped-up pressure on international banks to cut any ties with those firms.
So far, the official Iranian response has been defiant.

mpress, good stuff. They're sending us a huge message, and we'd best attend to it.

Does just flopping my head into my hands while exhaling loudly count as a comment?
Thanks for posting this, mpress.

This is unbelievable. I mean, how the heck did they come up with this? And I just keep going back to my question. Can you believe that the people who are responsible for this are the leaders of a Country. No biased here, but I'm trying to stick to the story.
I guess I have to say it since no one else has.
They would give our High School band some heated competition!
In all seriousness, it is getting pretty tense with the actions from all sides of this issue lrecentley.

mpress, good stuff.
With all their parades you would think there would be a gay pride parade. Oh, wait, that's right, they don't have that "problem."

Pretty pathetic and childish in my opinion. Thanks for highlighting this.

mpress, Good stuff.
I guess Iran's gestures to the world that they are peaceful, benevolent country and only want to build a nuclear reactor for electrical generation, thus for peaceful purposes, just went out the window, along with an embarrassed Russia's President Putin who made a visit to Iran to show his support to the world must be shaking his head with everyone else, saying to himself, Aww Crap !
Will the world blame the US for interfering and doing everything in their power to stop IRAN?
I think not, except Radical Islamists Hell Bent on World Domination, leading some "Right Wingers to Clean House" once and for all by putting two very dissimilar english words together to form a coherent sentence "Carpet and Bomb .

Persians have been around long before Western Civilization. They are only doing what they have to do in order to survive besides The IRAQI WAR is played out already therefore we need a new war.
Reminds me of German filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will" (German: Triumph des Willens).
Real good stuff. Wish I was there to shoot it myself. Thanks for posting!!!
Note: Cuba has had hundreds of Nuclear Weapons pointed at the USA since the early 60's. Why don't the Anglo-Saxon North Americans try to do something about that. Ha ha..

Cuba tried that in the 60's, when Russia tried to install nuclear weapons, President Keenedy soon put a stop to it.
Cuba doesn't have anything nuclear, well except maybe a MRI machine in one of their hospitals. As for your comment Persians have been around long before Western Civilization, very true, but with recent developments like this, they may ensure they become extinct.
