IRNA asks OANA to raise fund for journalist training

The seminar, held by ANTARA as host of the 13th OANA general assembly, featured Prof Oliver Boyd-Barrett PhD from Ohio University and Prof Alwi Dahlan from the University of Indonesia

Prof Barrett at the seminar presented a paper on the Future of National News Agencies in the Media Convergence Era, while Prof Alwi Dahlan spoke about Development of Information Technology (IT) in Media.

The seminar which was opened by ANTARA president director Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf was also attended by Datuk Azman Ujang, OANA president.

Talking about the future of OANA, Ahmad Jafari opined that the organization should make progress and cultivate solidarity among its members to make OANA able to compete with Western media.
